Care for stretch marks
We will now see some ways that you can treat your stretch marks. The relatively new marks can be treated with a tretinoin cream which will help rebuild the collagen of your skin and provide the care it needs. However, this treatment is only effective if your stretch marks are less than six weeks old. In addition, if you are pregnant, do not use this solution because it is not yet known the effects of tretinoin on the fetus.
The pulsed laser therapy promotes the production of collagen and elastin and can, therefore, help reduce relatively recent stretch marks. This type of treatment with pulsed light does not affect the outer layer of the skin, but causes controlled burns in the dermis.
There are also solutions for older marks, such as micro-dermabrasion that affects only the outer layer of the skin and promotes the production of a new layer of skin.
Excimer lasers promote the development of melanin in stretch marks and thus balance their color. Another therapy that works on old stretch marks is chemical exfoliation with glycolic acid. Doctors first wash the area to be treated, then apply the chemical solution to intentionally burn the skin, causing an automatic regeneration of the skin.
They also exist different creams such as cocoa butter, shea butter, and vitamin E that can be used at home and can also help in the care of these marks. These creams will keep the skin hydrated and may help reduce the color of these marks. Nevertheless, stick to it, some people claim to get results by applying these creams, while others do not. Other topical treatments such as castor oil, olive oil, fruit acids, seaweed poultices and other medicinal plants may also have some effects. Please read our blog Best ways to moisturize Dry Face.
You can decrease them with these creams and depend on the factors with surgery. Unfortunately, this will lessen them but will not completely eliminate them.
